The skiing is fantastic with 250km of slopes in Alpe d'Huez and a further 225km in Les Deux Alpes which by the end of 2023 will be linked together to form one of the largest ski domains in France. The Alpe d'Huez resort at an altitude of 1,860 m in the Grandes Rousses massif offers an exceptional panorama of the Oisans mountains. It was voted best ski resort in Europe 2019 and it offers many winter and summer activities plus cultural activities, its international comedy film festival and the Tomorrowland festival. Alpe d'Huez is known worldwide for cycling and climbing the 21 switchbacks, a legendary route that attracts many cycling enthusiasts every year. There is also a 9 hole golf course.
Access
Shuttle buses and taxis will take you from the train station or airport and when driving follow the D1091 and then take the D211 to Alpe d'Huez
