It was voted best ski resort in Europe 2019 and it offers many winter and summer activities plus cultural activities, its international comedy film festival and the Tomorrowland festival. Alpe d'Huez is known worldwide for cycling and climbing the 21 switchbacks, a legendary route that attracts many cycling enthusiasts every year.
