Sete
Sete is a charming town with no less than 12km of sandy beaches, located in the Herault department of the Languedoc Roussillon region, 28 km southeast of Montpellier; just 20 min away by train. Built upon & around Mont St Clair, Sète is situated on the south-eastern hub of the Bassin de Thau, an enclosed salt water lake used primarily for oyster and mussel fields and beyond that lies the Mediterranean Sea. Sete is a very charming town with a fishing port situated in the city centre and combines dynamism and relaxation with his pedestrian streets lined with café tables and waterways overlooked by terraces and seafood restaurants.
Access
Follow the D612 from Montpellier, towards Sete, then take the D2 through the town, pass by the harbour and you will find the residence Bleu Platine on your right.
There are regular flights into Montpellier airport (30 mins by car) and Nimes airport (1h by car)
There are regular trains into Montpellier from across the country and even a TGV high speed train into Montpellier from Paris.
