There are local markets too selling fresh local produce and lots of festivals and events throughout the year to offer a variety of entertainment. The great selection of local restaurants, cafes, bars and boutique shops also ensure that you are never bored here. It is an area well worth visiting if you have never been before.
The fabulous towns of La Rochelle and Bordeaux and the islands of Ile de Re and Ile d'Oleron are a short drive away and the seaside resorts of Royan and St Palais are 8km and 4km away respectively. Access is easy with a Tgv station at La Rochelle, a train station at Royan, regular bus routes to St Augustin while La Rochelle airport is under an hour away and Bordeaux just an hour and a half away.

Take the D145 running through Saint-Augustin and turn off onto Rue de la Bessure and La Foret d'Armotte is at number 18 Rue de la Bessure.
Regular international flights to La Rochelle or Bordeaux airports., 1h and 1h30 mins away respectively.
Regular trains into Royan train station and buses from there to Saint Augustin. TGV high speed trains from Paris to La Rochelle or Bordeaux and trains from there to Royan.
